Karma's Full Ass Kicking Circle

So there are so many updates I have to share about my 21st birthday, about being a senior, but first I must complain about this sequence of events that troubles me.

So the geology department was offering this hiking trip for $25 to southwestern virginia over fall break. I really wanted to go. So I decided I'd go and go home the weekend before so I could see my family. I made arrangements for this but then found out I was waitlisted for the Geo trip. I was so heartbroken. Then my parents FORCED me to get my car checked out because it was making funny noises. This cost me two classes, one hour of work and $90 just for them to tell me my car is just fine. :( At work that evening I signed up to work over fall break to cover the cost of my outrageous car bill. I signed up to work about 10 or so shifts. I signed up to work so much I got recognition from my bosses graduate assistant over e-mail for "setting up show this weekend and volunteering to work so much" I had finally come to terms with my not so great fall break plans.

So I went home for the weekend, came back on Monday and got really sick. I went to the health center and underwent $50 of tests just for them to tell me I have a bad cold. Whoopee. More money down the drain for no reason.

This morning I got a call from the Geo department saying I could go on the trip that a girl got strep and I would be able to go. Well, I can't go now because I signed up to work all during fall break. There is no way I can go. I'm so bummed, this entire chain of events led to shit. I guess there is some deeper reason but I won't know until later. :( Bah.
